Colorantic™ DIY Chalk-Based Paints has a creamy chalky finish that is non-toxic. Instead of using conventional metal cans as many paint companies do, we decided to pour our products into plastic containers with white screwable lids to add longevity to our paints’ life.
How to use our Chalk Paint
We recommend a light sanding to remove all shine from the furniture’s surface as previous oil-based varnishes could interfere with the paint adhering. Following this ‘roughing up’, we also recommend applying a degreaser like our Colorantic™ furniture cleaner. This small, yet important effort and attention to detail in the beginning is crucial to giving you the results we know you want. Oil-based paint or varnish is never compatible with any water-based paint. However, once you remove the shine, you are ready to paint with Colorantic™!
